October was a month full of wagging tails, new beginnings, and some truly incredible transformations. Our latest transport brought a wonderful group of dogs into the arms of their forever families—Asdis, Buzz, Daisy, Grace, Birdie, Fergus, Otter, Bounce, Francesca, Raya, Pearl, Drea, Ella, Murphy, and Jessica. Each one arrived with their own history, their own quirks, and their own hopes for a brighter future. And thanks to the dedication of their adopters and our support team, those hopes have already begun blossoming into reality.
What made this month stand out above so many others? Quite simply: the remarkable effort and commitment shown by the adopters themselves.
From day one, our October adopters did something truly powerful—they asked questions. Lots of them. They reached out, stayed engaged, and put in the work to understand their new companions. Whether it was crate training, reading body language, introducing dogs to new environments, or navigating first-night nerves, these families leaned in with patience and curiosity rather than frustration.
It’s this willingness to learn that creates smoother transitions and sets dogs up for long-term success. And this month, we saw it in action time and time again.
Of course, no transition journey is walked alone. Our incredible behaviouralist, Liz, has once again been a lifeline for adopters—always ready with guidance, reassurance, and actionable tips. From unpacking tricky behaviours to helping families understand the “why” behind certain actions, Liz’s expertise has been instrumental in building confidence and clarity.
And right alongside her, Justine and Amanda have continued to provide detailed, thoughtful information every step of the way. Their support—whether through advice, updates, or preparation materials—gave adopters everything they needed to start strong and stay steady. When adopters feel equipped, calm, and informed, dogs feel it too.
The result of all this teamwork? A transport group that is settling beautifully.
We’ve already heard stories of shy dogs discovering their voice, energetic pups finding outlets for their zoomies, and hesitant newcomers learning the comfort of a soft bed and gentle hands. Each success, big or small, is a reminder that adoption isn’t just about giving a dog a home—it’s about building a relationship rooted in understanding and love.
This October group—Asdis, Buzz, Daisy, Grace, Birdie, Fergus, Otter, Bounce, Francesca, Raya, Pearl, Drea, Ella, Murphy, and Jessica—has shown us once again how incredible things happen when adopters lean in and the support team rallies behind them.
To every adopter who welcomed a dog from this transport: thank you. Your commitment is the reason these transformations are possible. And to Liz, Justine, and Amanda—your hard work continues to shape brighter futures every single day.
Here’s to October’s success… and to many more happy tails in the months ahead. 🐾💛
