Juniper is finally ready for her forever home, to live the life of love and care; one she has longed for for so long and truly deserves.

Once, Juniper was someone’s cherished puppy. But that love faded, and she was left to suffer alone—her skin raw with mange, painful growths marking her body, and the light in her eyes dimming fast. She had given up.  But Santerpaws hadn’t. Found just minutes from the rescue, Juniper’s fate could have been very different. Leaving her behind was never an option. She was scooped up, cradled in kindness, and finally safe. That flicker in her eyes? It returned.

Her recovery was no easy road. Heartworm, ehrlichia, mange, and severe malnutrition meant surgery had to wait while her body slowly rebuilt its strength. But through it all, Juniper remained gentle—soaking up affection, leaning into love, and finding joy in the smallest things, like soft grass beneath her paws and the quiet magic of a walk.

Today, she greets the world with her whole body wagging. She’s no longer the dog who had given up—she’s the dog who believes again.
