Nathan/Ziggy

Super shiny Ziggy needs a new family.

He struggled with the journey over and hid away for some time but his owner worked hard to overcome this and he has really flourished, unfortunately he has also flourished in size and his more mature lady owner feels unable to manage a larger strong young dog (we try hard to estimate size accurately and we under estimated for Ziggy!) Think slender Retriever for size.

No separation anxiety and he copes fine when left alone. House trained and happy to have his harness and lead put on. Work still to be done on good manners and focus when out walking.

Very intelligent but not food motivated doesn’t chew but does steal socks and slippers…!

Ziggy loves being outside especially in the rain.

Has a sweet temperament but still going through the “I’m scared of other humans stage” so would need a confident and patient adopter.

Favourite treats – cheese

Likes to have his neck stroked and be told he’s a good boy.

Older calm / dog aware children OK.

He was fine with cats in the shelter in Bulgaria but this was a while ago for him so may be better without cats or dog-savvy cats.

He can be homed as an only dog or with a more confident canine role model. Supervised and correct introductions needed.
