Kevin

Kevin is a stunning young English Setter, purebred, neutered and brucellosis‑tested negative. He truly is one of the gentlest souls you’ll ever meet.

He originally belonged to a farmer who bought him as a puppy to help with hunting predators that threatened his livestock. But Kevin simply isn’t a dog who enjoys loud noises — whenever the gun was fired, he would quietly sit behind the farmer instead of joining in. His nature is soft, sensitive and incredibly kind.

One day, while out with the herd of water buffalo, Kevin found an injured hare. Instead of chasing it, he gently cuddled it and licked its wounds. He also shared his kennel with the farm cat, who felt so safe with him that she chose to give birth to her kittens right beside him.

Kevin was very much loved, but the farmer needed a working dog and already had three pet dogs at home. He wanted Kevin to have a life where his temperament and kindness would be appreciated, so he asked us to help find him the perfect home.

Kevin is wonderful with other dogs and cats — he lives with both currently — and he spent the first two years of his life around young children. His nature is exceptional, and he deserves a family who will adore him for the gentle, affectionate boy he is.
